Dear All,

            We the teachers concerned and the students of standard 5th and 6 th started doing a project on monuments –“The Prestigious Treasures”

Activity – Prestigious Treasures of the Yester Years.

Aim - To bring in them the importance of the ancient monuments, their origin and historical values.

 

We are happy to share the efforts of the students and the information they have gained through.

They collected the pictures of all the ancient monuments as per their Origin , Architecture, Dynasty /Authority.

            For the task we divided the students into four groups and assigned to acquire the knowledge of the monuments for the four different countries.

Like  India, Dubai, Singapore and Brunei

The facts on historical values and culture of selected monuments are collected for,

India- Taj Mahal, Red Fort, Gateway of India, Qutub Minar and Lotus Temple

Dubai- Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Dubai Museum, Grand Mosque, Palm Island and Al Fahidi Fort

Singapore- Civilian War Memorial, Marina Bay Sand (Infinity pool), Chinese Garden, Merlion Park and Sultan Mosque.

Brunei- The Billionth Barrel Monument, Omar Ali  Saifudeen Mosque and Istana nurul Iman

      Students were instructed to write assignments on these monuments that do project the height, the availability of resources, time slot of the project ,no of workers etc. The collected photos of various monuments were displayed and reviewed. Chart works and exhibitions were there. As a part of assessment a questionnaire session was conducted among students .The location of monuments were noted and represented through map. A power point presentation was conducted, highlighting the factors and effects of pollution on these monuments. No were are awaiting for the online chat with the school students of Brunei and have confidence in us that we do garb the international standards in all aspects.

This time we enjoyed working with kids igniting all traits in an international dimension and grooming them globally.
